Sharmila graduated from City University with LLB (Hons) and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, passing with a commendation.
She went on to train with a firm in the City before qaulfiying in 2004 and joining Barker Gillette LLP in 2006. Since the start of her legal career, Sharmila has practised in the field of commercial property.
Working with a bunch of sports mad lawyers eventually takes it toll and to overcome that Sharmila eats lots of chocolate, tries to drink a lot of wine and shops as much as possible. She has also mastered the art of having a permanent grin on her face, out of politeness to the wannabe comedians in the firm.
